Swimming Lessons
SUMMER PROGRAM REGISTRATION UPDATE:
Due to COVID-19 all Papio Bay Swim Lessons have been canceled for 2020.
Papio Bay offers certified swimming lessons for ages 6 months and older. Classes range in size, age, price and ability. Upon successful completion of EACH course, participants will receive a certificate of achievement which indicates they may progress to the next level. Private lessons are also available. Contact the Papillion Recreation Department at 402-597-2041 to register today!
CLASS CANCELLATION POLICY
Classes are rarely cancelled at Papio Bay since the pool is heated. If it is lightly sprinkling, please plan to attend class. Classes will only be cancelled if severe weather is in the area. Call 402-597-2041 for cancellations and information or follow us on Facebook. A decision for all morning sessions will be made by 8:30 am, and 6:15 pm for all evening lessons.
ONE CLASS CANCELLED
If only one class is cancelled, the final Thursday of the session, which is typically used as a free "Fun Day," serves as a built-in make up day for testing. If time allows at the end of testing on that Thursday, we will still let the students have some time to use the water slides and diving boards!
TWO CLASSES CANCELLED
If two days are cancelled due to inclement weather; the morning sessions will have a make-up lesson the Friday morning after the last Thursday of the session. The evening sessions will have a make-up lesson the following Tuesday evening after the last Thursday night of the session.
REFUND POLICY
Registration for a swim lesson may be cancelled prior to the start of the session. You will receive a refund minus a $5.00 charge for administrative handling, regardless of cost if received by the Wednesday prior to the start of the session. Sorry, no cash refunds will be given out. Refunds will be given by check or credit voucher only, or credited back to your credit card (when applicable).
Cancellation after a session begins will not be refunded or credited. In case of illness or injury occurring within the first 2 weeks of a program, a partial credit may be given; written verification by a physician will be required.
Papillion Recreation reserves the right to cancel any activity due to low enrollment and will provide a refund. Please Note: any online transaction fees are non-refundable.
WAIT LIST POLICY
Once a program is filled, a waiting list will be created with a maximum of 4. Wait list patrons will be called in the order in which they were put on the wait list if an opening becomes available or if additional classes are created. Note: If additional classes are created, they may not be at the same time or day as the original program.
We will only put someone on a swim lesson roster from the wait list if a spot comes open prior to the session starting. Once the session starts, the roster is frozen and no additions can be made.
